Lannister? Are they still a thing? :P

Only chumps play Lannister ;)

Daring mathlete to make a card that will single-handedly make Lanni more competitive may actually yield a Lanni card from him. :)

imo, Targ doesn't need any help right now, and I love Targ.
It's more that ShadowCat knows I play Lannister, hence our comments to one another.

If John does make a solid Lannister card however, I will be happy.
Here's a Lannister card he could make that I would find useful.

Searching for Robert's Bastard
Event
Lannister only
Name a trait then kneel all characters with that trait in play.

It would need some sort of cost. Like kneel a king/queen, or pay X gold/influence.

Unrelated to topic, but it must be said.. I approve of your avatar pic Keggy!

On topic, has anyone else seen the thread on FFG about his supposed card? I wonder if it's true?

you make me sad.

Quite right. Then how about:

Searching for Robert's Bastard
Event
Lannister only
Kneel 2 influence or a Noble character. Name a trait then kneel all characters with that trait in play.

The last thing this game needs is a card to make theme decks worse.

Hello, congratulations on the win!
I'm running a very similar deck for quite some time now, and i've got 1 question regarding plots. Did Marched to the Wall (LoW) worked good enough for your deck? I'm running Regroup (KotStorm) instead, which you never mentioned as a possible 2 claim option in any of the interviews. Btw Waste Their Time (QoD) worked wonders for my deck too!

I'm wondering about Marched to the Wall as well. It seems very situational and perhaps better suited as another two-claim plot.

My guess would be with all the control and burn he would get them down to 1 character and then used Marched to the Wall to get rid of them, perhaps some character with enough STR that he couldn't burn it. Also, with his recursion I don't think discarding a character would hurt much.

I just realized there are not any two-claim plots in this deck. Very impressive.
Public Service Announcement: If you're taking this deck onto OCTGN for kicks, you're a ****.

I'm Mister Anti-Netdecking, but by request I put this deck together so my meta has some experience playing it. I have to say, I'm impressed. It is *really* hard to knock out, because you never know when the next card you draw is going to be some surprise recursion that's just going to flip the table on whatever your opponent has going. I had a really slow start and might have been taken out if not for that aspect...I was topdecking with no cards in hand by turn 3, but once I drew into some card advantage things....wow.
I have to say - this deck is a work of art. I've been running with a Targ Army/Merc jumper build using Recruitment, To Be a Dragon, Long Lances, and Street Waifs. Every time I revise that deck it just gets closer and closer to this one. I don't netdeck either... but man, it is hard to beat this synergy.

Yea, I thought I had you when I flipped The Breaking of Oaths and marshalled Cersei. I was at nine power and between three unopposed intrigue challenges and a power challenge I should have had the game. I was betting that you did not have enough burn to bring a 7 strength Cersei down.

I had completely forgotten Rhaenys's Hill (TBoBB) on the table. Bringing all my dead characters out to help defend against a 7 strength LotR Cersei was awesome. Once you killed Cersei it was all down hill from there. I think the next turn you killed her, and it was all down hill from there.

It was really interesting to see how limited my kneel was, and a lot of my toolkit was useless against you. I even discarded 2x A House Divided (WLL) on a rule by decree because you were just ambushing things in.
I love this deck and have a deck that is very similar. The thing is now with the change today of the restricted cards this deck currently is running 4 restricted cards. Such a shame that some of what makes this a great deck will need to be reworked.
