(1-0) 2) Lannister (no agenda): First Snow of Winter, burn one character, kill the 5-cost army by claim, board was cleared and stayed cleared. (2-0) 3) GJ KotHH (no characters): Hard match up for burn. I rushed hard, Preston and Meraxes helped to get up to ten power until his combo works. Then I used all my burn effects to avoid him from winning any power challenge. Fleeing hit hard. Favorable grounds hit even harder. At the end I had 14 powers and my last character (with a power icon) won the game. Not blocking would have been the 15th power, blocking would have trigger the bunggled orders into valar and I would have won dominance. (3-0) 4) Bara Treaty with the islands: Bad luck for my opponent. He opened with fear of winter and get up to 12 power at the end of round 2. He needed one more power, then he could have won with red wedding. Anyway before his next challenge I cleared the board. (4-0) 5) Mirror (against Thomas, first in swiss later): Aegon's hill in round two hits really hard. He discarded it with favorable ground and managed to come back with company / ambush from the plains / recruitment. But later I drew into my company / ambush and I got the card advantage. and so I won. A very close game. (5-0) 6) Stark Knights: No attachments of the kingsguard characters really sucks. But I managed to discard a lot of his characters, but it took a long time. I had to ambush knights to reduce his draw, but in the end to much burn effects for him. (6-0) 7) Startk Maester: Westeros bleeds in first round and before next plots my opponent kneels Luwin to draw to cards, because he wantet to protect his char with the kneeled characters cannot be killed. He realized it before the plots was chosen, but of coure an Outwit would have cancelled the marched to the wall as well. Until the end of the game his board stayed cleared. (7-0) 8) Martell Brotherhood: I started to become tired. At 11pm my body wants to sleep and not play game of thrones anymore. Anyway: He canceled my pre-plot much and more with a paper shield, got beric, flaming sword and two taste for blood in the first round and cancelled the first two dragon thiefs with he calls it thinking. With first snow of winter I was able to use the dragon thief another time, but it was too late. No chance to stop all his renown. (7-1) My opponent score was incredible bad, nearly all players around me had 20 points more than me... but hey, 7-1 was quite awesome. I was already really tired. And then it took so long until the next game started. I faced Alvara (the world champion) with Lannister no agenda. He was ten minutes late, but I was thankful that he appeared. I made a lot of mistakes, because I was so tired and he played so well (at 1am after eight games the day!!! Wow!). At the end after a lot of rounds there were about 40 cards in his discard and deadpile, but the game was never close - he really rocked me. I am really happy facing such an awesome player and I was more sad about his lost (the next day) than about mine. : ) Arriving my hotel room and falling into the bed I felt asleep within two minutes. |

Sorry but how others players can have more points than you ? you seam to won all yours plays by power, not by time !
Maybe you don't want to talk about your deck weakness, but if you don't mind: why the lannister no agenda was so strong? (i'm playing Lannister ^^ )
You seam to have many tricks to remove little chara from play and kill big guy, so you keep board advantage!
And your first question... I don't know. Before the last round of swiss I was the only undefeated person (with 35 points) and my next opponent was number four on the list, because I have already beaten the second and third player. Maybe my first two opponents did not win more than one game or something like that.
Lannister no agenda is a really good matchup for the deck. You can burn stuff and discard locations with fleeing / favorable ground. Anyway Alvaro had a good start getting a great pyramide with a duplicate in the first round with a support of the kingdom and an alchimist guild and the iron throne on the board. A very good start for the better player against a tired player.
My best move in the game was: Jaqen was in the shadows and I play a flame-kissed on the 5-cost army. 2 gold left to get it. The I tried to kill it with a hatchling's feast. Ouh, of course, only characters without attachments. OK. I wait for dominance and saved all my influence to burn it down with forever burning. After killing it I remembered "oh, only non-army characters". Ha ha ha. I can still laugh about this. : )
Anyway I would not change a single card in the deck. : )
btw my meta here is lannister and Targ so i need to stronger my deck against your family and all this burning !!
Don't you think you could add maybe 1 additional Favorable Ground?
