If this is HoD Dragon Pit, why do you have 2 copies included in your deck. Does it stack?
Since it's unique, it couldn't stack. However, since the card is critical to the play-style of the deck, I would assume the second copy is simply for redundancy in case of shenanigans.
City plots and Search And Detain are the biggest reason. Get it duped and you have a save for it.

Exactly as stated above. It is too vital to risk losing it. I did not face a single city plot deck or Search and Detain. So it ended up being a waste of a card slot, but I had no way of knowing that ahead of time and couldn't take that risk.
However, having the dupe meant that in a couple games, I could use it as my discarded location with A City Besieged so I didn't have to lose anything when I hit their good locations. So it wasn't entirely worthless.
Would you include the new Kingsgaurd in this? if so, what would you lose? What was/wasn't effective?

I currently have a new HoD Dragonpit deck that utilizes the new Kingsguard, but it is not like this deck at all. I would consider this deck to be a hard control deck with all the character removal, however my new one is aggro with an emphasize on playing lots of characters and winning challenges. Since gold for gold my characters will be higher strength than my opponent's thanks to the dragonpit. It is a pretty different play style. But the new Jaimie and Preston make a wonderful draw engine, so I'd definitely play around with that.

To better answer your question. If you wanted to play this with kingsguard, I would drop the 3 maegi crones for 2 Jamies and 1 Preston, I would also switch the shadow prophet for another warlock of qarth and switch Jorah to the new one. I would also remove the Dany for a 2nd Preston.

Wow... I would do almost none of that.
Cool thanks for the suggestions! Do you like the control deck more or the aggro deck now that you've played both? I really like the idea, and just played a similar deck on OCTGN really makes me want to give it a try.

What would you suggest PulseGlazer?
Would you consider a Lady Daenerys's Chambers (Core) a worthwhile add?

Keep crone, add 2x Jaime n Preston, mess with the inf curve and add.Hatchlings, maybe Pentoshi. Tyrosh. Add Daario. Lose Refugees, Shadow prophet, warlock, hatchlings, and kings landings.
To be fair, if I were to play this burn-control style of dragonpit again, I would go with hatchlings's feast and change around a lot more (as Aaron has illustrated). But my previous post is intended as a quick substitution to put kingsguard into this same deck. Also, Daario is in every Targ deck I build now.

And Tyrosh is already in the list. I would possibly find some room for Pyat Pree too.

Regarding Maegi's Crone: I found the gold cost to be too high for a low utility character. Even running 3 I never felt like I was getting reliable draw from it and 3 gold is too much for HoD setup.

EDIT: Obviously draw is not "low utility," however, it doesn't do anything else, unlike Jamie, who sets up better and can be cheated into shadows if needed through plots and the seer. (These benefits also apply to King's Landing, which to me makes it better than the Crone as well.)

With the feast she's auto draw cap.

Only played 1 other burn deck and that was out of KotHH. Getting 3 influence or more reliably seems like it might be a hassle.. but interesting and appreciated input all around thanks a ton!

True. So it depends on how heavy you go with the burn. Feast, use crone. No feast, probably not worth it.
Shadow Parasite wouldn't gain any strength from the dragonpit reduction would it?
They can whenever an opponent brings a character into play (which really only matters if they bring one in during the challenges phase, or from shadows in challenges).
