Finally partial-Treachery available for everyone. LoCR's Tyrion is going to have Nigthmares about this little fella.

Ironic that it is a triggered character ability itself. So LoCR-Tyrion will need some begging brothers for himselfe.

It can cancel its own ability!

Interesting to note it cancels only effects and not cost. Stark "sacrifice to" for example could still get a board stand with Robb or power on Cat.

Assuming the Begging Brother doesn't then cancel that.

Also you can cancel your own abilities, so anything printed with positive costs and negative effects is good.

Do you mean this can cancel your own Forced Reactions?

Sure it can. Same as Treachery. Forced Reactions are also triggered abilities.

at 3 cost for 3 str bi con with intrigue its really not bad at all. :) that ability is awesome

So... can this cancel triggered abilities on Plots?

Nope, reread the card. My bad.

Not very Nedly but my Stark deck needs this so bad...

just to clarify, keywords are not cancelled by this beggar or ... ?

This doesn't affect keywords since they are not triggered abilities.

Rules Reference p.22: A triggered ability is any ability with a boldface precursor followed by a colon and the rest of the ability.

FAQ p.5: Finally, any ability that is not prefaced with a bold timing trigger (such as a keyword, like ambush) is not considered a triggered ability.

Can't wait for my opponent to trigger something only to have me respond: I beg to differ, brother

So Some clarity:

Does Begging brother stop The hound from bouncing back to hand.

I assume no because forced Reactions must resolve according to rules ref.

Must resolve means they need to be initiated. But they can also be cancelled because they are "normal" triggers. So, yes, this guy can cancel the trigger of the hound.

It's a different matter with cards like Winterfell which prevents you to initiate a trigger, in this case since it's a Forced Reaction it must be initiated anyway regardless of Winterfell.
