I think this might be better than Core Stannis

Somewhat funny that core Stannis has quite bad synergy with his cavalry...
...I guess he always was more of the siege guy

So even though this says 'move 1 gold' , the 'twice per phase' limit means you can move 2 gold in the standing phase? Is it the same as if it read 'Move up to 2 gold ..'?

no because in this case you have to use twice trachery :P

Ha. So it's a plus for the Cavalry rather than a minus RE:treachery

Can someone clarify this part of the bestow rule for me please ? When does the initial bestowed gold get removed from the card ? Is it in the next taxation phase or does it stay on indefinitely ?

Bestowed gold is never removed from the card unless an ability specifically removes it. The gold cannot be spent and is lost if the card leaves play.

Also, Bestow only happens when the card enters play. There is no need to distinguish "initial" bestowed gold because you only get to Bestow that one time. This card's Standing Action is separate from Bestow.

This is correct as far as the basic Bestow rule is concerned, however, the plot Favors for the Crown or the event Unbridled Generosity do allow you to put extra gold on Bestow cards outside of the normal Bestow rules. Once this extra hold is on the card, it is treated exactly the same as any other Bestow gold.

It's also worth remembering that the number in brackets after the Bestow keyword is only a limit for placing the Bestow gold when the card enters play. Any extra gold added to the card can increase the total gold on that card to more than that number.
