Just to be sure, his reaction does stack right? (since each reaction lasts until the end of the phase).
So during the 3th challenge with Lord of the crossing he would be a 7!

With the card not being unique, if you have 2 Frey Lordlings in play, do their abilities stack in that manner? First challenge they're both +4, then +6, +8?
No, cards refers only to themselves.
It should have been worded differently to works like you suggested M4TTHEW:
Reaction: after you initiate a challenge, all Frey Lordling you control gain +1 str.

- When a card's ability text refers to its own title, it is referring to itself only, and not to other copies (by title) of the card.
