Nearly an Auto Include with Milk of the Poppy in the core set only environment. Point and Click removal to salvage your 7 cost character. It just sucks to have to commit a plot for a 1 cost Attachment that can ruin such big investments.
The only faction with which I don't play this card is GJ, and even there I am not sure if it is the right decision to not play it.
Can you choose not to discard attachment?
No, you cannot, it is mandatory. Refer to the definition of "Choose" on page 4 of the RRG, which states: The word "choose" indicates that one or more targets must be chosen in order to resolve an ability.
This means if you play Confiscation when you have an attachment(s) and you opponent does not, you must remove one of your own. You can still play this plot when neither you nor your opponent have attachments in play, if you feel you have no other more viable plot option. Thanks!
