This cat will win games if you don't get him under control quickly
Does anyone else feel that this one is a bit broken? With renown and standing every time a challenge is made, I think there is a bit of a tilt in this card's favor.
Seems fair enough to me.
Yeah honestly of the Seven-costers Eddard is probably one of the weakest. I mean yeah standing is cool but without stealth some house (greyjoy) don't care about him and some (Lannister, Martell, and Tyrell) will just give him a sip of the ol' tears of lys, while the other ones will probably just milk him. He is tied for the lowest strength among seven costers and has the two most common icons among stark meaning that once he's blank he's even less useful than say Tywin who is at least still a 6-strength tricon. Eddard is good but nothing to really write home about.
So, since the game has been out for a few months whats peoples opinion on Ned at the moment? I play Stark mainly but I've honestly come close to cutting him a couple times.
To me he is not a bad card by any means. However, the reality is that he is 7-cost and is not amazing (unlike Tywin, Robert and Dany who are all centerpieces). Not dissimilar to how the Red Viper, who is also not a bad card, is understandably getting cut from decks because of his cost.
Yeah, I really like the concept of an always standing character that is ready to defend almost every challenge where he's not stealthed or it's not an int challenge. But, as Chem said in other factions with stronger 7 costers, like Bob or Tywin, I'm always happy to see them. When I draw Ned I'm always like "Oh, hey Ned." and I'm always a bit hesitant to play him. I may try and take him out of a few decks to see how they do without before really deciding on his worth. Overall, good but not great compared to his 7 cost counterparts.
No. The challenge has to be initiated against the player with Eddard for him to stand.
