For the card ability: Action: Kill a character to put Drowned God Fanatic into play from your dead pile. (Max once per round.)
If the target character selected to be killed is Hagen's Daughter, will she still go back into shadows?
You can trigger Hagen's Daughter and save her, but then you've failed to pay the cost of Fanatic's ability, his ability will fizzle and he will not enter play. You can still trigger him again though - failed initiation attempts do not count towards limits and maxima.
