i had this in OCTGN: made mil, put two clansmen back with Tyrion to raise the claim by two (one for each Clansmen). My opp insisted that the claim raise is only possible once.
Your opponent is right.
After all, when you initiate an intrigue challenge with Core Tyrion, you collect two gold and not four gold.
Rules Reference page 17 states each eligible reaction may be used once per trigger. The trigger here is when you win a challenge, which you only do once.
I tried new Tyrion with full clans in Lanni/Rains deck but had to switch to core version. Core Tyrion is just much better, 2-4 gold during challenges means one free ambush. This new version is just not worth it. He would be ok if he had the Clansmen trait.
