Hooray, a NW 4-coster.

Hooray, a NW bicon.

Hooray, more draw.

If only it wasn't so goddamn expensive to repeatedly play.

If you got the spare gold and want a draw, take it. Otherwise, it's a blank 4 for 3 loyal bicon with no downside.

I consider that a win, honestly.

Best character NW has gotten in some time? For all that actually counts for...

Works nicely with Arianne if you haven't drawn your Ravens yet.
Besides it's playability... This is the most unnedly card ever. Arry/Arya loyal to the NW?!? And, if you poppy her, you can play Arya, too? So milk of the poppy generates visits from parallel universes?

Come now, you're already justifying Tyrion vs Tyrion in many matches. In the books, we have several instances of people impersonating other people. By the end of book 5, there are two Aryas (one in Westeros, one in Essos).

Well they're not fighting side by side are they? :)

As mplain said, it's a difference if you play two or if it's yours against opponents. The latter is an epic fail in this game (e.g. Star Trek CCG forbitted that), but unfortunately necessary to maintain playability. The first is not impersonating, it is...unreal

And it is all to banner mechanics. Take it or leave it. You can create some Nedly combinations (Bara/NW) but you can also create such abominations.

I don't play banners :P
still, a (NW) common "no attachments" would have solved this surreal situation with Arya and still the loyal is very unnedly and I am not aware of another such an unnedly single card text/design in 2.0 so far
But...you are right, take it or leave it...I included her/him in my NW deck ;)

Is it unnedly to you because you can't think of a way the card text translates to the books?

I would think that hiding Arya as Arry, and her staying out of sight(return to hand) to people that might recognize her as Arya Stark would be one interpretation.  The card draw is sort of like her ability to hear things and see things while staying out of sight.

The fact that this card is loyal is the only thing I don't really find nedly(maybe the ambushing, but I'm sure I could figure out something to justify it), but I don't think that is always meant to stay in line with the books.

I never argued about the card draw or the return to hand, nor the ambush. Only because of loyal (same as you) and that the same player can play Arry and Arya at the same time

No attachments wouldn't have solved it - because Fortified Position (and Nightmares) exist.

He can but how likely is it that a NW/Stark player includes both Arry and Arya in his deck and uses milk of the poppy on Arry?

That's not possible for me to know when you called it "the most unnedly card ever" when everything else about the card is nedly.

A girl has many names

This is the most unnedly card ever. Arry/Arya loyal to the NW?!?

Loyal/non-Loyal has nothing to do with thematics, and there is no reason to believe that it ever did.  It's a purely a game mechanic used to segregate house-specific effects and avoid overpowered interactions.

Loyal/non Loyal has a lot to do with thematics. Look at the Lannisters - Tywin and Cersei loyal, Jaime and Tyrion aren't. Do you think that's entirely random?

Granted, that's likely to fade as the game continues (because mechanics will be more important than theme in some cases), but it's pretty obvious they set up the game initially so that some characters are dedicated to their house and some are able to be used in banners, which reflects the events of the storyline (e.g. Joffery being non-loyal so that he can be played in Bara/Lanni).

While I agree most characters/locations had the loyal/non loyal tag due to theme, there were ones that were loyal due to mechanics: those that draw cards.

Arry fits right into it that particular set of cards, so hence the loyal tag. I'm sure if she had a different power, she wouldn't have been loyal.

Totally agree...but this is still unnedly ;)
