If you squint (to use JCWamma's favourite review phrase) this says "Pay 1-2 gold to win a challenge you would have lost and kneel a character". Which seems a great deal to me, even if 2 str base is a bit of a liability against Targ. Competition is hotting up in Lanni at the 5-7 cost slots, personally I'd favour this guy as long as core set Tyrion and Tywin are in your decks.

I love Lannisters growing theme of going into challenges with lots of gold and having opponents wonder how it's going to be spent.

So, this card is potentially even stronger than Tywin. By a long shot. Given how much gold the Lannister scum (I'm joking , I'm joking) have , this card is OP, surely?

It's only until end of phase and takes an action each time you want to use it. You could pay 1 gold to provide +2, so that he'd be at a STR 4 when he gets hit by Dracarys! He's certainly not bad, but the frog faced Slynt is not a 3x and certainly not OP.

Also, with a base strength of 2 there are cards in the game that can straight up kill him with little effort. Venomous Blade in marshalling. Grey Wind (with Robb) in challenges, if the Lanni player isn't first or doesn't have the gold.

Good card for sure, but as more and more answers are being printed, and Lanni are getting more cards to complete, he is getting less love.
