Does it count in actual UO challenge or it changes claim from next challenge ?
It affects the current challenge, according to the Rules Reference:
4.2.2 Compare STR to determine challenge winner - winner is determined -> Reaction triggers
...
4.2.4 Apply claim result -> Claim is already zero
Note that it will not affect unopposed (UO) one way or the other. If the defending player counted 0 STR, the challenge will be unopposed, no matter what the claim value is.
