I like this card for when your duped-up opponent plays Valar. :)

Yeah, I can't see how this makes it into plot decks. Seems like a redundant effect for most games.

As the card pool expands, it becomes ever more viable to make a deck that doesn't have many/any dupes. This becomes a very one-sided effect.Perhaps not quite potent enough to incentivize building dupeless, but it may just be a cog in the machine of such a deck.

I like this card for when your duped-up opponent plays Valar. :)


In such circumstances Varys's Riddle is probably doing more for you as it has better stats. This is imo better to use the turn before you expect Valar - allowing you to place out your own dupes at that point. It is better than riddle if trips are a factor of course, worse if they are using Iron Mines or BOdyguards instead of dupes.

Overall I'd prefer Riddle which does other things for me such as giving draw if I can predict their Counting/Summons. As the cardpool increases dupes will only really apply for the most important 2-3 characters and it will probably hurt you as much as them.
