Best card ever!! Unstopable force, unless you play against Stark ;)

Why Stark? As long as the character you choose is strong enough Summer isn't a factor and I can't think of anything else they have?

Frozen Solid ;(

Frozen Solid ;(

If they're Frozen Solid-ing this, then they're leaving Castle Black, The Haunted Forest, The Shadow Tower, The New Gift or The White Tree alone.

And if its a real problem, throw House Maester and Maester Chain in the deck.

You know they can have up to 3x FS, rigth?

2 card combo att-hate is not a att-hate. It is positive surprise at most.

I'm just wondering what deck runs all those locations at the same time. I kinda assumed that if a deck runs Queenscrown, it's probably the most important location in that deck, an enabler.

And of course Maester Chain cannot be a serious proposal :)

Cressen is probably a better approach to FS. With Seen in the Flames you have decent enough benefits to going banner of the stag.
Again we come to a conclusion that NW card work better in non NW environment :/

QC is superb, but it is a small brick in an wall (:)). Real problem is that there are not enough impactful NW characters that can actually use those bricks. Let’s look at new Mormont. How is he to compete with Edd, Balon or Stannis. If he was a Lannister Card he would get some badass keyword like Intimidate or Renown. How is putting non-uniques on board a game changer? IT is not (unless you defend the Wall)!

This is all burden of having Wall in NW faction. Because if there were no Wall: Mormont, Jon (Jon being 5STR for instance) or any other cards could be more powerful because it would not create unhealthy combo in defensive decks. Right now it is impossible to build stable mono deck without Wall (I have not yet experimented with Wildlings under NW). I was hoping that after NW box the diversity would allow that. Unfortunately, in offensive NW decks, NW themes (choke, characters stealing, Jon+Longclaw) take too much cards, with too little efficiency not to be playing Wall…

I have thrilling experiences with QC, but at the same time I get typical games where too much creativity (aka not including Wall on purpose) makes deck totally unstable. To a point where either you beat your opponent relentlessly with style, or are bleeding from round one until inevitable end.

Is the placement effect of this card considered as "discarding"?

It mentions "place it..." instead "discard" so it seems it should be not counted as discard. I just wonder about interaction with LoCR Tywin.

I'm pretty sure it has to actually say "discard" for it to count as a discard. So I don't think it can trigger Tywin's interrupt.

Rules FAQ:

Placing a card in the discard pile does not trigger any "When/After a card is discarded" abilities (e.g. Crone of Vaes DothrakTywin Lannister (LoCR) ).
