Nice. No drawbacks if you're saving a Dragon (because they are "No attachments") or a "No attachments except X" character. Targ has some nice ways to clear the attachment off later too.
If you are first player, can you "save" an opponent's character with BMR before they can use their save interrupts (such as dupes or bodyguards)?
I would very much like to know the answer to that. I assume by default, the players have an opportunity in player order to save somebody. So, if you're the first player, you can save, let's say, the Red Viper and blanc him before his controller will have the chance to trigger the duplicate.
Yes you can.
There's nothing preventing you from doing so, or giving the card's controller some kind of priority for using save effects.
First Player, RRG, p. 8:
"During all framework event and action/reaction/interrupt windows the first player has the first opportunity to initiate action, interrupt, or reaction abilities at each appropriate game moment."
Saves are part of the interrupt window, so yes, the first player has the priority in all save opportunities, no matter who controls the character that is being killed.
I think it's ok to use it on a no attachments characters.
You may certainly use it on no attachments characters. Dragons and Jorah are common, excellent targets for it.
Or, at least, it would if Messenger Raven and this card weren't both loyal.
Clearly they knew to break up this overpowered combo!
