A Seastone Chair for the Targs... no one else terrified by that? My Greyjoy heart is bleeding, anyways...

Absolutely sick.

Burn effects will help trigger her ability without too much issue.  Since she is non-loyal, she can be used with other faction soft control to help use her ability as well.

She will most definitely make Banner of the Dragon more of a thing.

If her and Gregor had a baby, it would be Valar.

Do u guys think Banner of the Dragon will become more popular with this card? Margeary pumping her up is kinda hard to defend..

It seems like a lot of money and effort into basically unsuccessful int/pow challenges to kill a character that will sometimes be a big play, sometimes not a huge deal. Not sure yet.

She might not win challenges, but she can't be ignored. This is useful, either for drawing in powerful characters in early conflicts, or making them save their big guns for later.

Did someone say Jousting Contest?

She is the first character in the game with the Maegi or Lhazareen traits.  I wonder if they will be used for anything at some point.

Highgarden and the Hound are 2 ways to help make her work better. Osha too, thought that isn't quite as strong.

Wow, hadn't considered the Hound's timing and lack of moribund.  If I understand correctly:

-  Attack for POW w/ Hound and Mirri

-  Win

-  Hound returns to hand in the "D" step of DUCK

-  When we get to "Claim" Mirri is now the only character attacking, so she can trigger her ability

Correct?

You missed a step at the end

-When we get to "Claim" Mirri is now the only character attacking, so she can trigger her ability

-Win the game

I believe in this particular case (Mirri+Hound) she will not be considered attacking alone since there were TWO attacking characters when the winner is determined.

Otherwise another combo, more domestic for Targaryen, is Mirri and Jorah on his 3rd challenge.

Nonetheless, I still think that will not work.

The hilarious thing about this is that there are situations where you would want to dracarys or plaza your own characters to make this work. I love it.

You can also have Jorah come in with Mirri for his third betrayal token. He will be sacrificed before claim is applied.

Kamerad - I agree that there are two attacking characters *when the winner is determined - D in DUCK*, but *when claim is applied - C in DUCK* (which is relevant to Mirri) the Hound is already gone, and she is now attacking alone.

Good catch on Jorah!!

This is very similar to Cersei dying to Like Warm Rain or bounced by Ghaston in an INT challenge--she's not there at the claim step, and her claim increase won't apply.

Because Miri says 'IS attacking alone' and is an interrupt, we know to only check the conditions when the interrupt is applied and what happened in the D step won't apply.
For that matter, your opponent could Ghaston or Warm Rain your other character for you. That would be dumb of them, usually :)
If we ever get a card that lets you trigger an opponents location off winning a challenge (Greyjoy used to have such a thing) then the opponent may not have a choice about whether Ghaston hits your other guy!

so what happens when mirri attacks and i play vengeance for elia?

Whichever one is triggered second happens.

Sorry, but this is just the most stupid mechanic I ever saw! It just happened to me, I was like "NO WAY this is possible, it makes NO SENSE!" I see it game-phase-wise, but it's so completely illogical that I just can't accept it...
