I don't think this a bad card...it just needed something else. The extra reserve is always welcome and it replaces itself but...that 2-cost is a lot in Night's Watch. 1-cost would have been too little, of course, but still...
It would still be a bad card even if it cost 1.
However, perhaps future effects will make more use of NW locations and/or reserve.
Like Night Watch needed any more useless cards.
Without that you could start looking at putting this, Iron Throne and Sam into decks and go for high reserve, running plots with powerful effects but low reserve (Famine would be a good example), playing a conservative game with less units than normal and good challenge control events (so Martell, Lanni or Bara as your banner), waiting for Varys to hit then having Yoren clean up.
Might still work as a deck but I'm not convinced.
A future card for sure. I don't see much reason to run it right now. FFG really loves overcosting NW cards, though. It's quite bizarre.
Most houses pay 5 to draw 2 with Littlefinger. Paying 2 (or 1 with fealty) to draw 1 seems about right.
It seems so wrong on many levels your statement. Little finger is a totally fair character with good icons, it provides you a gold, it's not only "draw 2 cards". Having a character partecipating in a challange it gives you card and/or power advantage. You are not paying 5 for 2 cards, you are paying 5 for the whole pack.
This card (nrthern rookery) simply does nothing, do not partecipate to any challange, do not provides you anything, it only allows you to store more cards in your hand. Which is pretty lame at this point of the game.
All of these over costed The North locations makes me wonder if there is some agenda coming that reduces the cost to marshal all The North locations by 1.
