Why not make this any attachment? I feel limiting the scoop to only weapons or items makes the card a lot less useful.
Is this because the 1E version? Was there a neutral way to search for any attachment instead in 1E?
Giving Martell/Bara a way to go fishing for conditions woulda been pretty nasty. Knights finding mares and knighted, too. It's also counter-synergistic with Fealty, which helps it not be too ridiculous with Ice. I feel like it's a good balance for a theme card, not an auto-include, same as the other streets.
Limiting it to items or weapons helps to rein in the possibilities for abuse. The designers probably laid some guidelines for items depending on their traits in their best practices documents.
Stark can probably make some use of this location. Both Ice and Needle are good target for this search ability.
There's no action window where ambush is allowable in the same challenge as this is triggered, right?
Right. At least not AFTER this is triggered.
Crown of Gold is an item...My god FFG what have you done!
Though to be honest, the Lanni Kraken deck that has seen so much success lately might even like this. You can search the Seals, the Widows Wail, and with the new GJ dude that gives weapons ambush you might be able to justify a few Throwing Axes too.
