Interesting, but how many unique Starks are you going to want to throw at a single Military challenge?

6-cost seems steep for that ability on a 4 STR character.

This card works. I've been running him a lot and I'm never sad to see him. He can easily be paid for in Fealty. I probably average 2-card draws and 3 aren't uncommon. You'd be surprised. Especially if you run Kennel Master/Lady and can sneak in a Sansa, Cat or Luwin to a military challenge.

Could be a bunch of them with some of the stand and self-sacrificing effects coming out for Stark.

Tend to be a pretty defensive player so maybe that's why I'm not quite seeing it but since the consensus seems to be positive I'll give him a go and see how he works out.

I'm not sure about him either. He seems to require too many cards to work. Maybe when more cheap unique Starks are released I will see him diferently. I wish he had true Insight so he could get cards while defending or during POW challanges instead. It would have given him some needed versatility As he is, you need to be the first player, overcomite to a MIL challange and have another unique Stark with MIL. Too many restrictions to just draw two cards.

The thing to remember with Rod is he works really well with Winterfell Castle and one other unique (+4 str and 2 cards).  Even without that, he gets a card for every Mil challenge he wins as the attacker.  Which is just a reward for doing what you'd be doing anyway.

The faction matters here. In Lannister, his value would greatly diminish. But in Stark, where card interactions make you want to go Fealty, and draw options in that build are fairly limited, he's a great asset. Especially, as theamazingmrg says, because the draw is given for doing what you're already doing.

I've played a couple games with Stark Fealty since Cassel came out and so far I love him. The insight in Stark's best challenge for all your uniques gets crazy fast. Imo Ser Rodrick fills a void in Stark that desperately needed to be filled.
