This is the worst card in the entire game, right?

I presume you're not familiar with Vaes Dothrak ;)

But yeah, this one's not even ok, unless we'll get lots of Builders.

You'd almost need every character in your deck to be a Builder in order to consider playing this.

It's obviously meant to be a seed for later cards. It will definitely be a thing to make a deck all builders ect. in the future. Of course it's crap right now.

That assumes the builders get more than just 1 icon.

This is far worse than Vaes Dothrak. Vaes Dothrak at least trades cards for cards and can provide some solid economic gain. This location requires you to play at least three builders before it gives you the economic equivalent of a rose road. Until we get a 1 drop builder this is going straight in the binder. I think Joe is right this is currently the weakest card in the game.

I disagree Red. I'm pretty sure it's still staying in the binder even with a 1-drop Builder. By the time there is anywhere near enough builders to begun to justify playing it, it will have rotated out.

Actually when i think about it if there was 1 cost loyal non-unique builder and a 2 cost loyal non-unique builder it might just squeeze into a fealty deck.

Very underwhelming that the amount is only 1, should have been 2-4!

Rather than there being heaps of new builders another thing that may make this see play (as a 1x) is if we get a lot of cards like Halder that let you kneel locations/attachments to do stuff.

Thing with this card is it gives me hope something great is coming, Nate isnt stupid the designers aren't either they know how awful this card is right now. Which makes me think there has to be a greater plan for it and builders that'll make this fantastic.
If only it weren't unique. Play a builder next character is 3 less :) that could be nice.

Ahh who am I kidding I'm trying to justify the worst card in the game :(

Maybe there will be a non-unique 2-cost tricon builder coming that will make this worthwhile. Okay maybe not.

It would take a 0 or 1 cost builder with a ability similar to the messenger raven to make Brandon's Gift playable. I do not see i happen, in every card games there are cards that are less useful than others. Not a big deal realy.

I'm sure that The North keyword it has is going to come up in the future. Not like it has a ton of competition with other in faction reducers for Night's Watch.

Yes, but I don't know that it actually reduces much.

You have to find this, then get it on the board for 2, then find 2 more builders and play them (and have enough gold left to play 2 more NW cards with the discount) before it even pays for itself.

Eventually there will be a couple good, relatively cheap, non-unique Builders that you want to run together in a deck and this card might bloom a bit but...it's going to be a while before that happens and by the time it does I don't know if it will make the cut.

I'll be happy to be proven wrong though. :)

Without the faction restriction, I'd consider it as a 1-of in my Bara/NW deck that runs Veteran Builder (to stand Red Keep or the Wall if necessary) and Sworn Brother (to help with the large number of locations in the deck). But as it's restricted to NW? No chance.

Why would you use Veteran Builder to stand The Red Keep? Lordsport Shipwright keeps kneeling it?
