Not that bad in an intrigue expensive deck (thing i do for love etc) if your opponent haven't any cards in hand he cannot use all that gold

But taking the hand down to 0 takes a few turns (dream scenarios with Lannister plots aside). By that time you really don't need the 10 gold yourself.

And you'd be really annoyed if he top-decked Tywin and you had just given him the gold to play him out.

I'd love to get that 3 gold on The Long Plan turn!

Naval Superiority would be just downright cruel played against this.

This card makes playing every other kingdom a lot harder. Get ready for a lot of instant drops on octagon after a well played Navel Superiority.

Does the 'when revealed' effect apply the player who plays the plot?

No, only that players opponents

i.e., cards are read from the point of view of their controller, and the person revealing the plot is not his own opponent.

Although sometimes he feels he is his own opponent.

I really like this in a NW wall defense deck. My goal there is getting enough characters out as fast as possible to defend the wall. As long as I can get out what I need, it doesn't matter if I my opponent has lots of stuff, or even more stuff. My game plan assumes I'll be losing every challenge anyway, Losing by more doesn't matter.

I could also see it working in a deck with a very high cost curve, like some Tyrell builds I see coming after a few packs.

Absolutely I do.

I like this for nights watch too. I'm thinking a first turn plot? But A Meager Contribution would be a must have in hand.

This definitely has a home in defensive builds and rush builds. As long as you are able to do your thing you don't really care how much your opponent pumps out.

This could essentially be finisher for Martel decks, if it comes together. Play The Long Plan, wipe with Varys, and then drop this to overwhelm your opponent with a 14+ gold reserve. Not saying it will be tier 1, but that is exactly the type of deck I want to play.
