This plot is borderline playable even with no text. Other than Rise of the Kraken, leaves every other faction plot we've seen so far in the dust.

You think this is borderline playable with no text, but I bet you're not playing Taxation (5 6 1 6) or Rebuilding (5 5 1 6)?

Yeah this plot is absolutely not playable with no text but since it does have text it's pretty dope. It gives us yet another way to use all of that Tyrion gold and together with Cersei this will be pulling four cards form your opponents hand, absolutely brutal if timed correctly.

I just noticed you can win on defense and trigger it too. Chud challenges to persuade Cersei to kneel will not be happening I think.

Not to mention Casterly Rock allows you to do two INT attacks per round. With Tyrion and another (strong) INT character you can easily reduce anyone's hand by 6 in a single round. There are few decks that couldn't come back from that unless extremelly lucky with the draw.

This combo is too good to not be in any Lannister deck from now on. So what would be the best counters against it?

Don't lose an intrigue challenge? Hard to do if Lanni have Tywin and Tyrion on the board, but by then you are hopefully a bit of the way into the game.

If I were to see this plot hit and thought I couldn't defend intrigue, I'd play out as much of my hand as possible. Whilst its asking for Wildfire, at least I might get some use out of them first.

Running Counting Coppers helps too, as a play on the turn after this, though be aware that many decks will go for the board reset once they have nuked the opponent's hand.

At least Valar isn't in the game as a follow up for this (yet?)

Can this reaction be triggered multiple times per INT challenge?  I have 4 gold, win one INT challenge, then pay 4 to have opponent discard 4?

No.
From the RRG:

each reaction may be initiated once each time
its specified triggering condition occurs, as described in
the reaction’s ability text

In case I bring this plot to game using "The Rains of Castamere" does "Wardens..." trigger as well? Meaning, can I react and use 2 gold to discard opponents cards?

When thinking about it, it is logical that after I win INT challenge, Rains triggers but "Wardens..." plot is not in the game at that moment so can't trigger.

Can someone explain the timing here?

You can bring it in with Rains and then trigger it. Rains is triggered by winning an intrigue challenge. You are still in a state of winning an intrigue challenge after Rain's has finished, so you can trigger Wardens.

Thanks, I checked the Rules Reference and it's clear now. It is within the same "Reaction Window" meaning until all players pass there is possibility to trigger reactions (to an INT win in this case).
