Played a game where I stealthed past a Tywin Lannister with two Wolves of the North dropping him down from 12 STR to 0 (-6 for each WOTN) leaving a tasty snack for my Grey Wind, Can Definitely Work really well with a good setup/right cards. Have won most of my games with this deck. I'm finally happy i've made a decent wolf deck. Will suck against some decks but still manageable as Catelyn can defend against Mirri and Tyene really well.
I played a version of this (Pre True Steel release) bannering the night watch to add Ghost. They also have Chett to bring direwolves back to your hand from discards. I was worried it would be way too exposed against intrigue and power challenges, but it controlled the field of play so well it never worried about it really. I was getting 2-3 kills per turn and my opponent that night, playing Lannister, just couldn't get out enough people to survive the turn with anything. If I got Wolves of the North and Grey Wind out it was pretty much game over and there are lots of search mechanics to make that happen. Not sure how it would fare against other builds, but it won 3/4 that night. Was fun to play too just mauling everything in play.
PS-I loved the turn I did Storm of Swords, did "For the North" to increase the claim, used Grey Wind, and killed 5 characters in one turn. Board Wipe.
