Overmind Madness 2.0

I built a pretty similar deck but with Gabe. How do you get overmind+ your hardware out so fast? With mine it seemed like by time i had my rig setup i had already lost.

Interesting deck. What do you end up tutoring with Logos? How often is Calling in Favors better than Sure Gamble or Easy Mark?

Might be worth rejigging your resources - or adding one or two more.  A Hostage and Compromised Employee x2 could do work for you.  Consider Pro Contacts instead of Helpful AI.

Although Deja Vu is flexible, in terms of leveraging your hardware free credits, you might consider Clone chips to for getting your programs back on the fly.

Andromeda is key to this deck. Being able to dig 18 cards into your hand at the beginning is what makes it work. I don't think this deck would work with Gabe because of the reason you said.

Usually it's Katy Jones if she isn't out yet or E3 Feedback Implants. E3 basically doubles the longevity of your Overmind and is an absolute must against Corps running ice with lots of subs. If you can get both E3's out then you are deadly. With three Overminds, 2 Special orders and 2 Deja's, I always have access to icebreakers.

I prefer calling in favors because it costs 0 to play. I typically have 3-5 connection resources set up so it's a nice boost without having to pay. To me, it's just more versatile with this deck. Although, Sure Gamble is very nice if you draw it in your starting hand. That's the main sacrifice.

Thanks Gary, I'll play around with those suggestions.

I've been wrong on rules issues before, but I'm pretty sure you've misread E3. It self-combos. *Whenever* you break a subroutine you may pay $1 to break an additional subroutine. That includes E3, so once you've broken one sub, E3 can break the rest. For this reason, a second E3 is worthless.

I've looked it up, the ruling on E3 is as I said and appears in this FAQ:

Thanks. I did indeed misread it.

I did my own version about your idea Overmind with E3.

I think Sure Gamble is necessary why you need credits to install the resource you need to use calling favors later. Legwork is not very useful as before (above all against Jinteki). Express delivery is not necessary when you can have a good first hand with Andromeda and you can search whatever you want by Logos or the Overmind by Special Order. Also I prefer to play with 45 instead of 49.

Kamahl23 - I like your tweaks. I like how you maintained the same functionality while getting the deck down to 45.

I would have a difficult time letting go of Legwork simply because I have won a number of games by drawing 4-5 points in 1 run on HQ. I considered swapping those out for HQ interface but haven't tried that yet.

I did two teawks more. E3 Implants and Mr.Li for two Armitage Codebusting. I do not want to get economic troubles in the deck. Two copies of E3 is enough, because just one is necessary in the game with Overmind and get one is easy by Logos or Andromeda's ability.

E3 needs a nice amount of credits to be effective, that's why I have included two Armitage Codebusting in the deck. Apart to pay the necessary resources as Underworld Contact or the programs. Hardware and events can be no costs easily and that's good.

Legwork or HQ Interface could be great in the deck of course but there is no place for these cards. I always prefer to play with 45 cards in any runner deck. And as I told before Legwork is not enough useful against Jinteki decks or Jinteki cards as Snare! or Shock mainly. Moreover I also think that any corp against a Criminal deck protects the HQ very well, so it's very hard to get a successful run there. I prefer attack R&D or one remote server. The best point in this deck for me is the versatility, no matter the ice or server Overmind with E3 and some money  or clics can be unstoppable for the corp. But it is only my opinion, anyway thanks for building one deck like this. I just did my own version about your deck.

Just an observation with logos. I have found with an Ian deck that throwing in a single copy of unregistered S&W is really great for taking care of the ever annoying Kaprice Nessei. If you end up presented with a safe scoring server using her to keep you out just pull the S&W with logos and end the issue. It's a very specific situation, but logos allows you to have only one copy.

I have tested this deck against an NBN fast advance it it really struggles. It takes too long to set up against fast advance decks. So, here are the changes I made and the current deck I am running. It's a more aggressive against centrals and takes less time to set up.

Total Cards: (45)

Identity:
1x Andromeda: Dispossessed Ristie (Humanity's Shadow)

Event: (20)
3x Account Siphon (Core)
2x Deja Vu (Core) â– â–  â– â–
3x Forged Activation Orders (Core)
3x Inside Job (Core)
3x Legwork (Honor and Profit)
2x Special Order (Core)

2x E3 Feedback Implants (Trace Amount)
3x Logos (Honor and Profit)
3x Prepaid VoicePAD (Second Thoughts)
3x Q-Coherence Chip (Honor and Profit)
2x R&D Interface (Future Proof) â– â–  â– â–

Program: (6)
1x Corroder (Core) â– â–

3x Inside Man (A Study in Static)
3x Kati Jones (Humanity's Shadow)

Account Siphon could be very dangerous because it gives you two tags (for Scorched Earth, Closed Accounts...). Combined with Lawyer Up could be better. This new version has less link than before, and this against NBN is not a good idea above all. I would use another economic card (Easy Mark or Dirty Laundry for example), but you are right, this deck is more aggresive doubtless.

Doesn't an Overmind deck require Scavenge to recycle Overmind?
