Get your breaker suite out fast and rush R&D
Identity
Order by: NameTypeCost
Total Cards: 0
This is my first attempt to build a solid shaper deck (so please be gentle).
The main stategy is to use self-modifying Code and Test Run to get your Breakers out fast and at the time you need it. Then you use Medium, R&D Interface and Maker's Eye to run R&D heavy. Economy is provided by Magnum Opus.
The set up rig contains a Magnum Opus,a Morning Star (best hosted on a dinosaurus), a ZU.13 Keymaster, a Medium and a Femme Fatale. This sums up to 4MU. Leaving you a spare MU for a second Medium or a second Femme.
Cards
Diesel: Best card-draw for rush-decks due to its costs. Quality Time is just to slow.
Escher: just a gimmick. The plan is to set up all barriers on R&D and crush them with Morning Star
Levy: Back-Up. A tutored 40 card may be empty pretty soon
Test Run: Tutoring your programms. Also the combination with Femme is awesome. Just place the token on a unrezed piece of ice and run it. Next time you put another Token on the field.
Maker's Eye: most agressive card in shaper
Stimhack: Usable with workshop, self-modifying Code and just to pay breakers of course
Clone Chip: just to get your programs back. also lets you "refill" the dino and provides another Femme-token
Dinosaurus: gets the 2MU from Morning Star out of your MU-Pool.
R&D Interface: this should be clear
Rabbit Hole: provides the 2 Link for ZU.13 and "thins" the deck by two cards.
Plascrete: anti-scorched earth
Opus: best econ-card that can be tutored
self-modifying Code: sets up your rig early on. even during runs. later it's useless when your MUs are taken
ZU: cheap and therefor fast decoder
Medium: main target of the runs is R&D
Morning Star: best Fractor in my oppinion, especially with the dino (breakes all Heimdalls). Hadrians Wall is a problem, but can be broken with Femme
Femme: combos well with Test Run and Workshop+Stimhack
Aesop: recycles unused workshops and Plascrete
Workshop: for me a shaper must have. combos well with stimhack and just saves you money for runs
Armitage: this should be replaced with a third Opus, but I only have one core-set ----------------------------------------- I am still evaluation the usefullnes of all cards. Possible changes:
ZU.13 OUT and Gordian Blade IN. This would be good with Escher (aranging codegates to R&D). Then the rabbit hole would not be needed and could be replaced with Omni-Drive to host a breaker and suck up the additional MU.
I have to see if 7 cards for R&D-Multi-Access are nessesary
Maybe 3 pieces of the Dino are to much.
Maybe 3 pieces of the self-modifying Code are to much.
Maybe Aesop is not realy nessesary -----------------------------------------
I would be thankfull for any constructive suggestions :)
If rabbit holes only reason is to get memory for zu.13 why not trying changing them to akamatsu memchip. It would be both cheaper and you'll be able to get an extra memory out of it.

Yeah i switched to the Memory Chip. It's just more flexible.
