So once this item takes two horror, does it get discarded? My gut says no, but still though I'd ask anyway.
Dealing Damage/Horror
- After applying damage/horror, if an asset has damage equal to or higher than its health or horror equal to or higher than its sanity, it is defeated and placed in its owner's discard pile.
I'm still a little bit confused about assigning damage to assets. So let's say I have a completely healthy beat cop and am attacked by an enemy that deals two damage and two horror.
1. Is it possible to assign just one damage and one horror the the beat cop and have my investigator take the rest of the damage?
2. Is it possible to have the beat cop take both of the damage and both of the horror? It seems like damage and horror are dealt simultaneously so I would think this would be the case.
Yes to both.
Okay, that's a little weird. Thanks!
Well, for things that take damage it's just like the item is destroyed or beyond usable. For things like the rosary that take sanity damage, you can say either the comfort it brings can't stand up to the horrors you are facing or in a more likely instance where in these games the power of faith is an actual kind of magical energy, it no longer has any spiritual power left and either becomes useless or breaks.
