What happens as long as you don't control her? does she still fight the boss monster?
She looks a lot like a neutral ally you might add to a deck.
And while I assume she is not legal for adding to decks, can someone tell me why?
I think the distinction is that she isn't a level 0 neutral card, she doesn't have a level at all. Since the deckbuilding restrictions specify neutral cards levels 0-5 (for the base characters at least) you can't include her when building your deck.
She's part of the story, and she has the symbol for one of the encounter sets. She can be added to your deck, but only through specific circumstances.
@ForAiur she does not contribute anything to the game until an investigator takes control of her. How you take control of her is revealed in the scenario.
She's part of the scenario. The scenario cards and campaign guide will tell you how to utilize her card. She's not a card you can use to build your player deck at the start of a campaign. Though she is an ally and takes up an ally slot for your investigator, which can require you to discard an ally you already have in play. She's a really great ally though so I'd probably always make that exchange happily.
She can't attack because she has no attack value, but can she walk? We were not sure when we tried to take her with us to take on a monster in another room.
You gain control of her as part of an action on the parlor. after that she goes into your ally slot and moves with the character that was acquired her.
Aaaah, the ally slot. We kept her on the field like a character card. Thnx for the info!
SPOILERS
If you either take R1 or R3 on the first scenario, you get her card, but not on the R2. This is really strange as R3 means she having to look for other people to help her, while R2 doesn't. Am Imissing something here?
R2 you basically tell her to get lost... so she did.
In R3 you basically failed and some/most/all of you are killed.
From the rules: If an investigator is killed or driven insane, that player must choose a new investigator to use in the next scenario, and creates a new deck for that investigator. Investigators that are killed or driven insane cannot be used for the remainder of the campaign (see “Killed/Insane Investigators†on page 13).
So in R3, where it says "Lita was forced to find others to help her cause." the 'others' that she finds are your new characters. Apparently, this means they decided to help her while they are essentially still off-screen and helping her means she gets added to the decks, unlike R2.
