Further Rituals of the Silver-Sothoth

Congrats on you win for 2nd Place.  I like your idea of combining Zanni and Elder Chasm as speed bump to players.  I haven't gotten Terror in Venice yet but will probably be purchasing it soon to get Zanni in my SIlver Twilight deck.

However, I am curious on how did the Hungry Star Vampire serve you in the tournament?  And how did you play Dedicated Butler in this game?

Thanks very much :-)

Zanni is such a strong character for 1, and I feel they are a prime pick for ST decks.

Hungry Star Vampire didn't turn up much, but I mainly saved him for when they had skill 1 characters. One turn I sent it into a challenge with a Butler, knowing it would be unopposed and the butler's arcane will allow the Vampire to stand. As a backup, I knew I could feed it Yithian Scouts, to get them out the deck faster.

The Butler helped me get Yithian Scouts into discard, letting me save my domains for other cards. It also worked well with Rite of the Silver Key, in a similar way to Scout. I also used him to put spells back into the deck when I was about to use Plague Stone.
I really like this concept.

How was Rite of the Silver Key? It feels like its a bit of a slow card to me - unless you are just using it to get Butlers back or something?

No restricted card unless I'm missing something - is Initiate of Huan Hung a no goer?
Initiate was from an AP sadly, so couldn't be taken. There wasn't one that was available that felt useful. Rats only work when played from hand, as otherwise they would be used.

Self milling from Key is part of the appeal. But even only waiting a turn means a Zanni comes back, which can alter a story phase. But several times I had a standoff, which gives it time to charge.
For some reason I thought Initiate was in the box. Would you put it in the deck if it had been legit?

It is a card I'd be tempted by, although I would need to get the pack. If he cost 3, I'd be less tempted. Bringing him back in their turn (ideally Story phase) with Rite of the Silvery Key or Resurrection, as he is Enters play.

I'm thinking of improving upon it for next month's tournament though :)
