For the advanced version that uses Khopesh, have you thought about Flooded Vault?

Being able to look for Khopesh, Sword of Y'ha-Tallo or even Magnifying Glass when you need it I have found to be very powerful. The first time you defend with someone where they have no Terror/Willpower, and you have no ready domains, only to oppose and use the Vault to get a Sword and beat them on Terror is potent and mean at the same time. It is a lesson they won't ever forget.

I weren't sure if it would be too complex for a first attempt deck however.

Thanks for recommending Flooded Vault.  I didn't know about this card as I haven't gotten Terror in Venice.  I think it will be highly useful because I presumed that you can sacrifice it Flooded Vault and put into play a Support-Attachment card outside from the operation phase.

This will provide a player of this deck with an avenue to surprise his opponents.

Often the people which I introduced CoC to have some experience playing card games so up to this moment, I find them easily grasp the concepts, the mechanics, and the synergy of this deck.

I did tweak the deck a little by removing Ravager of the Deep and putting in an additional Lord of Y'ha-nthlei and Silent Mover just to avoid a the opposing player who may be a newbie feeling overwhelmed.

@ Nufenix
BTW, I think I saw your deck with Guardian Shoggoth and Khopesh.  I think these two combo very well enabling Khopesh to trigger 4 times in a turn before Shoggoth is destroyed.  This is something that can be considered putting into this deck.

However, to maintain the Deep One theme, I am putting Guardian Shoggoth aside for the moment but other players can experiment with this card with Khopesh.

Reasons to continue having Deep Ones and not replacing with Shoggoth are to leverage on the synergy granted by Shadowed Reefs and effects from other Deep Ones like Lord of Y'ha-nthlei and Deep One Scout as the discount benefits from Devil's Reef and Cult of Bathos.

Yes, the main thing I like about Flooded Vault is not only is it getting you the support you need, but in any player action window, which can cause a tremendous swing.

Terror in Venice also gives you Poleman, and whilst you won't be making it Night, just being a 3 skill for 1 is nice, but once you have Shadowed Reef he becomes better value.

It is pricey, but have you looked at Chaat Aquadingen? It's one way to get rid of frustrating non-location support cards, and isn't even limited to once per turn.

Ravager is a tough card to face when learning the game, as unless you have Invulnerability, or lots of toughness, it can make you question how you could possible win.

Yeah I realised that it can be daunting for a beginner player to face against Ravager of the Deep. In such cases, I will temporarily replace him some thing else

However, if the newbie want to play the Cthulhu deck which I maintain Ravager in the deck and make them happy. Often times, i get the response, "Wah, this card is so powerful" and make them want to play this deck again. :P
