An attempt to make Dark Wings, Dark Words work, with Maesters, Rivers and Martell.

Use rivers to add cards to hand and the agenda for card draw. General icon control theme along the way, but essentially card advantage is the name of the game. Usual Arianne recycling tricks if possible. Summer helps income but isn't critical. Try to keep back 2 influence to pay for better events.
Conclave/To The Spears is the finisher. Best case scenario is to be second, have played The Viper's Rage, have three Conclaves and Maester of War, and to get 13 power in that turn for 3 unopposed challenges, 1 power claim, 3 x 3 renown.
Sure, that takes a bit of setting up, but nothing helps a complex combo more than drawing 20 cards over a few turns. Failing all else, just beat down like crazy.
Weaknesses: A serious deficit of military icons. Use the control elements to try to minimise the damage, or hope for Maester of War.
I like the idea of the maesters out of Martell with this agenda for sure, not least because many Martell events need influence, which can be provided with Kedry and Advisors Chambers.
What I would query are the plot choices. I realise card advantage is great from rivers, but if a deck can b built which gets its events out consistently enough then At the Gates and Schemes of the Scholar are both amazing, and then Shadows and Spiders and Desolate Passage provide great control. Maybe its a different build I should try out for myself...
Also where is Someone Always Tells? It's a 1 sided reset if you time it right, I don't see how it can't be included in a DWDW deck running influence?
