The idea for the deck came about a discussion with Jhandy27, where originally it was using HoD with GG in melee, to table talk into manipulating challenges.
From being on the receiving end of him using GG against me from his BT deck, I knew that it was a frustrating card to deal with. So combining it with HoD so not only does it mean I have to wait patiently for it, but that it protects me against against Meera, Nightmares, Price of War, and so on.
First part of the deck was obviously taking nobles. I opted for the 4g Doran, partly because it makes him more affordable, but also if I do manipulate the table so that when they attack me they will lose, forcing them to suffer the claim makes it all the better. Whereas if it looks like I will lose as the attacker, I can return him to hand and no longer fear it myself.
From there I had to work out how I intend to push challenges through and win, as GG is all well and good, but I won't always be first player, nor will I be able to deal with being heavily outnumbered.
I settled on icon manipulation, combined with Spy from Starfall, who I have experienced the strength of, on both sides of the table. The Only Game that Matters protects me against aggressive decks such as Dothraki and Stark armies, as intrigue is an often low priority icon. Combined with Greenblood Merchant, Scourge, and Brimstone, removing key icons at the right time should allow my challenges to succeed. Brimstone is further enhanced by Ghost of High Heart, as I can bounce a critical character with GG, discard it from their hand with Ghost, and then have icon manipulation from Brimstone.
In addition to the Spy, I wanted to go for a splash of other prized cards, and then use Prince of Dorne to help deal with the lack of draw in the deck. Calling the Banners means I can tutor for PoD, and then in future turns if I haven't played a prized card by Dominance, the title still has a use, whereas most the others do less by the time I have reached the Dominance phase.
Royal Decree is a gamble, as it can still be cancelled by Harrenhal, but it is an experiment to see if it is useful. When WWW rolls around, being able to cancel that will be nice.
Due to the addition of prized including events, I decided to go back to a card I tried previously in my Lannister decks using Pentoshi - Shae. I should be able to have less power than them early-mid game, so kneeling any character even if they have attachments (unlike Castellan) combined with GG gives me further board control.
Gendry lets me get some of that power back, whilst Lady of the Leaves lets me blank characters who may trouble me.
My economy is focused on reducers, as they work the turn I see them, unlike gold where the delay could alter what cards I can play that turn. Plus, they are all 0g cost, leaving the gold for other cards. Chambers and Stronghold have been added as that way my opponent never knows if I have a use for the influence (is that an RV in my hand?), whilst also giving me an out against opposing Greenblood Merchants, Brothel Guard, Seasick, etc.
Venomous Blade is my choice of restricted, as I want to deal with swarms of weenie characters, as well as troublesome monocons trying to compete with my Spy. It was between VB, Burning on the Sand (too many cancels), and Game of Cyvasse, as I wanted to bounce with my nobles and then use GG to get rid of another character.
Certain cards were in the initial thought build, such as Darkstar and Dornish Hermitage, but without the draw to maximise Hermitage it felt like it would be a dead card, and without that Darkstar simply waits for me to lose Intrigue and hope he gets picked.
So, that is the deck and the though process behind my choices. I'm no master of Martell, as the bulk of my experience is with Lannister, however hopefully the deck is solid, and I look forward to any comments, suggestions and feedback :)

After playing a few games on OCTGN, deck failed badly.
To be scrapped and re-strategised....
