Benjoewoo â€“ 3/5
The card’s trait requirement restricts it from easy use in a number of clans as the player has to choose between having more efficient dynasty buys vs. playing the card itself—a good ability, to be sure, but the trait requirement and limited use in multiple board states will keep it from being auto-include.

nyxnyxnyx - 3/5
Realistically, only some clans will have access to this card reliably - Phoenix, Dragon, Scorpion, Unicorn, Crane, in that order. Once you get past the play requirement, the card is a pretty amazing catch-all solution for any annoying character abilities.

Grendel - 3/5
Stronger than initially appearing as most higher cost characters are paid for their ability and not their stats. Its restriction is very relevant though.

Kingsley - 3/5
This stacks up unfavorably to Thrones's similar Milk of the Poppy for two reasons. First, the Shugenja requirement means many clans will have a hard time playing this. Second, the cost means it's not as good a deal in a game where many great combat tricks are free. However, it's still a powerful effect for dealing with those problem characters.

There is no game where this card haven't played a key role in the win. Also, each game I haven't seen it drawn, I really missed it. It's the ultimate solution for 50% of the characters, whose ability is the scary part, not the stats. It's (sort of) balanced thanks to the shugenja limitation, making it les viable in some clans. Anyway, it has gone growing from 0x to 1x, then 2x and I'm currently delighted with the card's efficiency

For me is one of the best cards of the game, always happy to have one in hand.

Totally agree, though I'd say many of the core set trait-based cards are very powerful for their cost - For Shame, Rout, etc. Obviously 3 copies belong in any Phoneix deck.

What would you guys say the ballpark minimum number of Shugenja in conflict and dynasty to include this card would be?

Depends on the cost of the shugenja (a 3 cost or 4 cost shugenja with fate will be in play half of the game, but a 1 cost is in play maybe 1 round). But I would say that 8-9 dynasty cards (scorpion clan for example) is solid enough to play some copies of Cloud the Mind. My Phoenix decks have 17 shugenja not including Conflict and x3 Cloud the Mind.

My scoprion deck runs 7 shugenja, and I can play x2 cloud the mind quite consistently (not fully, though). Since they are low costed, I tend to invest an extra fate on them if I have the card in hand, just in case I need to play it the following turn and the flop turns against me.

3 shugies for 1 copy, 6 for 2, 9 for 3. Always look for, at least, triple the number of the "base" card in your deck(s) to play the dependent card with consistency.

Good advice, cheers guys. I admit, I like the card enough that I've gone the other direction, taking on Unicorn alliance just to get my trait count up to be able to play 3 copies.

If I attach it to character and wipe out his text, can another character copy the text, which doesnt exist any more???

example: (with this specific order) Niten Master and Togashi Yokuni in play, attach Cloud the Mind to Niten Master, can Yokuni gain Niten's triggered ability???

My opinion is that if he can, there must a clarification because the wording is clear......

"Treat attached character as if its printed text box were blank "
