I find this a fascinating card! It is an attachment that ONLY reacts to itself being played in a conflict. So it doesn't have many of the other benefits of being an attachment (multiple uses, timing, etc). Well, I suppose it does give +1 Mil.

It's very similar to Even the Odds, and then there's the Crane Invitation one that moves a character to a conflict. Did each clan get a 'move to conflict' card like this in this cycle?

Chaining of actions is likewise very cool, especially seeing as you just added an unexpected monk to a conflict. Monks should be getting lots of fun soon!

Shoulda cost 0 though.

Essentially all this really is is a +1 MIL that doesn't take any action time. That's not worth 1 fate. The movement effect is nice, I guess, but as Unicorn in core tells us, moving yourself into MIL conflicts isn't that strong an effect unless you got a whole bunch of synergising effects, and Dragon don't have that.

I agree. As a dragon player myself, I don't see this makeing a huge impact. Being able to commit a character that was hit with covert seems to be the main application.

And the extra action for monk seems weak. I don't know of many situations where that will make a differance. I want to see a good monk deck, but so far the cards for it just aren't great.
Umm... if you’re using this on your own character you’re probably doing it wrong. You play this on an opponents character to pull them into a conflict. It’s a crazy useful effect and would have been completely broken at 0 cost.

Hawk tattoo + High kick combo. There.

Oh I see... so you're saying to use it as a 1-cost fishhook that has a drawback of giving them +1 MIL?

Yeah, that seems relatively weak too for the price, but I guess having BOTH options makes this card versatile enough to consider. Smart.

That's thematically really weird though!

"Come here you, I want to give you a tattoo!"

Reduce the cost by one if played on a cast member from The Only Way Is Essex

Thematically weird... yes. But pulling an extra character into an attack they’re already winning (or to force a break against a when broken province), plus leaving their most relevant defender/2nd conflict attacker out for the turn? Pretty good. And in Dragon, which is already a great general splash clan.

The card's name is actually hawkpoon. It is a harpoon for conflict control. Super potent

This card is so ridiculous with the current provinces.

Ah, my mistake.

Seeing it in play has made me realise this card turns out to be plenty good as a hawkpoon.

The main thing that makes this is awesome is that it can't be countered in any way, except perhaps a second effect to move the character out again. The timing precludes any sort of blanking, the card type prevents cancels.

Arg. Nasty card.

And they fixed it! Good errata. https://images-cdn.f...ference_v16.pdf

Of course, now it's NOT a hawkpoon, it's a terrible card again. Hooray.
