Splash Scorpion (Yojimbo) Goblin Sneak, Charge, Cav reserves.
Play this guy on turn 1 and pass, essentially putting a character down for free.
use your massive pool of fate to play events and put down conflict dudes.
It CAN work.
I'm not saying its reliable.
They didnt remove the fate for passing first, they removed the fate for having the first turn.
