Surprisingly narrow window to use in the early game, as you need to commit a Courtier to defend, and if you've done that you've probably prevented the break most of the time anyway. Very strong when seeking to defend the Stronghold province in the endgame, as preventing a game win is a good use of 1 card / 1 fate
