Telemnar was the 26th King of Gondor. He came to the throne after his father Minardil was killed unexpectedly by Corsairs of Umbar. This attack was organized by decedents of Castamir, the long time enemy of Telemnar's house.
Shortly after he became king he tried to organize a counter attack on Umbar. This failed because a plague struck Gondor. This plague killed the White Tree and left Osgiliath partially abandoned.
