So good. Besides the 3 health, good defense, high attack, and a possible duo icon hero that can make 2 resources a turn? Yes please. He's got some nice keywords as well.

the 3 health is pretty scary in action though typically with a few shields he can defend really well.   I basically aim to dump a few shields on this and another hero to block the repeated attacks using a few standing effects from events as needed to keep the mobs around.  Steward of Gondor + his ability and Gondorian Fire make him a serious beast when it comes time to kill things.  Unexpected Courage and/or Descendant of Kings gets in multiple attacks.   Though now I'll likely be putting Steward on Tactagorn and just using up Amarthiuls resources instead.  Put a rohan warhorse on Aragorn and go to town.

.... but a hero with 1 questing point outside the tactics sphere? I'm not sure how good he will be in solo playing.

seems very reasonable in solo. He can attack or defend well and gains additional resources while giving you access to another sphere. very strong hero in team or solo

1 willpower isn't great but we don't question it at all on a tactics hero, which this guy is--both in terms of resource icons (conditionally) and stat line. Plus he gives you a resource match for Sneak Attack--which a lot of Tactics allies can benefit from--and Steward to get more of those expensive Leadership and Tactics cards out.

You will need other ways to get progress out, of course, but that doesn't stop us from using normal Tactics heroes is solo. Though I will admit, he wants to be played with another Tactics hero in your line so unless you are running Legolas your Leadership hero choices are going to be pretty limited.

So..probably not the BEST solo choice but not BAD. Probably the worst part about him is that I want to run him with lore to heal and that would be a tr-sphere build which...a little scary in solo.

Yeah, I guess there's a way to build a good solo deck around him, maybe with a tactics and lore hero. We'll see!

For solo I would try Leadagorn, this guy and Damrod so you have access to Winged Foot, cheap Forest Snares and ranger spikes, also supplying draw.  Use of Aragorn's specialized attachments and ally Faramir will give you plenty of questing.  You could even go Gondor themed and use Visionary Leadership.  Include a few low cost tactics cards that Amarthiul can pay for without too much fuss.  Gondorian Fire is a real good choice and naturally a Horn of Gondor.
