Obviously great with either Cirdan or Erestor.

Her ally is so good though that I think I would only ever play her in a bi- or tri-sphere Noldor decks.

Might change my tone though when I get to throw her down on the table and get a better feel for her.

Also good with heroes like Boromir leadership or Aragorn leadership, or even Bifur (gets 2 more resources in one turn), or Mablung.

Arwen can only target Noldor heroes (and Aragorn, yes, but he is self-explanatory here ;) ), so you will need the Elf-friend attachment to make her work like you have described.

Yep, Elf-friend becoming more and more tempting!

Can she target herself ? Her ability says: " Discard a card from your hand to add 1 resource to a Noldor hero's resource pool ... " She is a Noldor .

She sure can!

Ok happy days :) What about discarding a card itself ? I know it's only once per round but ... Does her ability mean that I can discard only " 1 " card from my hand to add 1 resource ? Or does it mean I can discard as many cards as I want to add 1 resource for each discarded card ?

Once per turn you can discard 1 card from your hand to add 1 resource to a Noldor Hero's Resource Pool.

The effect states that you discard 1 card to get one resource and can only be triggered once per round so you would have to wait until next round to trigger it again.

Hope that helps :)

If you are playing with Hero Gandalf, can she discard the top card of your deck, as you consider it as if it were in your hand?

Gandalf says "Once per phase, you may play the top card of your deck as if it was in your hand" This is not the same as simply considering the card to be in your hand.  So no, that card can only be played.  Not discard to pay for things.

So, does she absolutely need the discard-style deck to function? Could I use her with Glorfindel and/or Galadriel? Can anyone tell me where I could find some good deck lists for a Spirit/Lore deck (particularly one that runs Ringmaker cycle, which I need to get more of)? I've tried putting together the best of what I can, but I have been waiting for an Arwen Hero and I really want to run her.

Not at all.  Since it doesn't matter what card you discard, she works in whatever.  She is best if you include 3x of Elven Light since it gives you the opportunity to convert that gained resource into card-draw instead, depending upon your circumstances.

That site has a real easy way of searching deck lists that include particular cards you want to use.  And if it is by Seastan, it's likely to be a very good deck.  That guy is pretty brilliant when it comes to deck-building.

Thank you! How are the deck forums here? I want to post my deck lists and what sets I'm working with and see if I can get some suggestions. Unfortunately, after my Spirit/Lore deck and Leadership/Tactics (mostly Tactics) got schooled in Journey Down the Anduin, I think I can probably build them a lot better. But I'd really like to get Dread Realm and Arwen and use her in some way, even if it's in the discard shenanigans stuff. I just really love the Noldor and want to use them. :)

On either site your deck likely won't draw attention on it's own.  So I'd suggest publishing the deck - on either/both - and then making a forum post linking to the deck and asking for suggestions.  The FFG forums are quite a bit more active than these are for Lord of the Rings topics.

The discard is negated by use of the Silver Harp. On a side note, as of FAQ 1.9, it looks like she can now use her ability to add resources to tactics Beorn.

, it looks like she can now use her ability to add resources to tactics Beorn.

how?

Tactics Beorn is immune to player card effects. But, as per FAQ v1.9, "His resource pool is a separate game element from the card". Page 18, it specifically mentions this concept working.

Anyway. He is neither Noldor nor Aragorn and you cannot Elf-friend him. So you cannot give him Ressources

True. I stand corrected on that. The new FAQ refers to Proud Hunters being one of the cards that allows him to get additional resources. The detachment of his resource pool from the card is a significant and welcome change, I think.
