Just curious as to how this card works, correct me if I'm wrong;
1) Treachery: Essentially a Lore "Test of Will"- the effect is cancelled and since it doesn't go into the staging area the discard effect is irrelevant. The condition attachments would also not attach since the it's effects are cancelled, so doesn't matter if there is one in the victory display
2) Location & Enemy: Any "When Revealed" effects are cancelled and the card is sent to the discard if there is already a copy of that card in the Victory display.
Seems super strong, if nothing else because now there is some deck design scope outside of Spirit for Treachery cancel. Given how nasty they can be, it'll be good to not have to play Elenor in 3+ player games just because of the Treachery effects.
It works if there's already a copy of the card revealed from the encounter deck in the victory display. You get an encounter card (treachery, condition, enemy, location, whatever) in the victory pile with a card like Leave no trace, None returned, Scout ahead, etc. or the card can be placed in the victory pile if the defeated card has victory points on it (it's mostly locations and enemies that have victory points on them).
So a second Hill Troll in Journey down the Anduin could just be discarded when revealed if you can play The door is closed! from your hand; then, you laugh at the troll, go grab yourself a nice hot coffee and enjoy.
Unlike "Test of Will" this would also cancel surge, doom etc as I see it
Yeah, if you can choose carefully what you put in the victory pile, it can give you a serious break.
Yea, I'm really excited about this event. The neat thing about this and the other Victory Display based event cards (Keen as Lances, etc.) is that anyone (assuming sphere match) can play them. It doesn't require a specific hero or anything - even though it is obviously best if someone is including Rossiel.
The only card that can cancel those cards with ''cannot be canceled'' written on them!
