This means that you must keep playing until the encounter deck spawns an Ungoliant's Spawn and you defeat it and not that you search the deck for it and put it into play right?
If you've killed the Ungoliant Spawn before entering this stage the game ends immediately with a victory?
And what if Ungoliant Spawn was used as a shadow effect before entering this stage or while in this stage?
If you've already killed it you must kill it again. The game doesn't 'remember', so it is best to delay a kill til you flip this quest card.
If for some reason the spawn isn't in the encounter deck or discard pile you'll have to keep playing until it comes out.
This card is also why it's a good reason to try and put off fighting Ungoliant's Spawn (Core) if at all possible. You can use Denethor (Core) to try and find it and move it to the bottom of the Encounter deck, or engage it and then use a Forest Snare (Core) to keep it tied up until you're ready to finish it for the quest. Otherwise, just keep your Threat low and work around it in the staging area. If it somehow gets used for a Shadow card, you could potentially use Shadow of the Past (RtM) to get it back.
You can search the discard pile for a spidercard. So you can bring Ungoliant's Spawn (Core) back from there right?
I've had to fight that spider twice far too many times....
If we're multiple players and some choose the King Spider, which has a "When Revealed" action, does that have to be executed too? Choosing a card and adding it to the staging area also works as a trigger for "When Revealed" or is it only when it's drawn from the Encounter deck?
So the wording of the effect is important. The quest card says to choose a card and "add" it to the staging area. If it said "reveal and add" or just "reveal" then it would trigger the "When Revealed" effects. So no, since this just says "add", it is not considered to be revealed.
