I don't have the Action-Window chart in front of me but could you trigger this guy after the shadow card is revealed? Or would it only work before the shadow is revealed (not counting effects like Silver Lamp)?
Yea, since you are cancelling the "shadow effect" and not just discarding a shadow card, you will get to see what it is first and then decide what to do about it. Note that it only works on the attacking enemy that Deorwine is directly defending.
