Destruction of this enemy should've dealt some damage at least to the Thing in the Depths. I mean, we just killed its friggin' eye!
What bugs me more is that this has no victory points - it means this things can have millions of eyes if the battle takes long enough. But it makes sense in that regard that no damage is dealt - if it has a gazillion eyes, poking one might even not slow it down.
PS: 5 defense on an eye?!? What is it made of, bullet-proof glass?
Think of the defense as it being hard to hit, not that it actually has armor.
I try to, as I try to see willpower as general activity towards quest progress - from simple walking to gathering intelligence, taking decisions etc. There are some narrative implications but I will deploy my over-the-top RPG game-master nonsense generator and go for it.
Why do you think it doesn't?
