Sure, he is very scenario dependent. but in khazad dum he really shines.
In "Into the pit" yesterday he cancelled one 4 and one 5 Point Underground Locations, and basically won us the game.
I think his point is that he stays ready during the questphase, and then you can decide wether to cancell a location or use him to defend a enemy.

Hard to get excited about cards that are so situational like this. Especially since he can't really do anything else, an extra shield would really make a difference. I think this is the first dwarf who won't be an auto-include in any deck with Dain.
I absolutely agree with Camipco. Almost all player cards in this pack are very situational. I really hate to build special decks for each scenario. And I would like see more cards for single-player play in near future.

Very good ally for Khazad Dum and the last three dwarrowdelf packs. Otherwise useless. I also agree with campico that Bombur should have one extra defense.
