If the top card of the encounter discard pile has an "Immune to player card effects", can you still play this?
This card targets the top card of the encounter discard pile, not the encounter deck. But I'm pretty confident that you could not use it to target a card in the encounter discard pile that is "Immune to player card effects," because you would be directly targeting the card that is immune to player card effects (see the official FAQ for more on this).
That,s what I thought. Thanks! (and I corrected my post, thanks again!)
That is my understanding of "Immune to player card effects".
However, cards in the discard pile are out of play, and I don't think card text matters for an out-of-play card unless it's an effect that activates from an out-of-play state. This should be the same as using Fortune or Fate to return Beorn from your discard pile (which, according to the comments thread for that card you can do).
True, those cars Are out of play, according to the rulebook, so... we can play that card!! YEAH! Thank you!
Do you have specific card in mind? Or was it just theoretical question? I am really curious since you showed so much enthusiasm
LOL! I had no specific card in mind... it's just hat this card can really be a life saver, and it's so cheap!
I havent' seen many decks created that use this card, which is too bad because I think it has potential. It could buy you time to get more resources and cards in play.
It can be a game changer.
Good with Ranger Summons.
