Taking this card, song of mocking, and frodo is going to just be a hell of a fun time to play out.
Except for using Frodo Baggins (CatC) to both quest and defend, I don't see another time where I need a hobbit character twice in the same turn. FFG hinted at some future cards that are hobbit specific so we may see some more utility in the next cycle.
I've seen some interesting deck around here that uses Fast Hitch in combination with Common Cause (Core) and Beravor (Core) to draw ridiculous number of cards. Additionally Fast Hitch on Bilbo Baggins (THFG) with Protector of Lorien (Core) can turn him into a pretty strong defender.
Frodo Baggins (CatC) with this
Gave hobbits a whole new perspective. Note that it can be played on allies as well, although that's not really too big a deal yet. Keep Fast Hitch in mind as new hobbits are released. 5 stars.

So, could I play this on Bilbo Baggins from the Saga Expansion, On the Doorstep?

I can't find any restrictions. While the vanilla Bilbo might not be as helpful, if he could grab Sting from our Tactics player's deck...he could be quite useful to quest and defend/attack.

Sure can. He has the Hobbit trait after all.
