Type: Quest Encounter Set: We Must Away, Ere Break of Day Encounter Info: Western Lands Quest Points: 1 When Revealed: Add the set-aside Troll enemies and the Troll Cave to the staging area. Shuffle the encounter discard pile back into the encounter deck. Forced: If there are no Troll enemies left in play, or if there are no cards left in the encounter deck, advance it to the next stage. Any time players would place progress tokens on this quest, discard an equal number of cards from the encounter deck instead. (Progress is placed on the active location before triggering this effect.) Obviously trolls. Even Bilbo, in spite of his sheltered life, could see that: from the great heavy faces of them, and their size, and the shape of their legs, not to mention their language, which was not drawing-room fashion at all - The Hobbit Set: OHaUH Number: 24 Quantity: 1 Illustrator: Derek Zabrocki |

I got a weird timing question with this card in a two player game. Troll Cave was the active location and there was one card in the encounter deck which was A Nice Pickle (when revealed shuffle 4 cards into the encounter deck from the discard pile).
During staging, when I reveal A Nice Pickle does the forced effect on Roast Mutton trigger before the when revealed on A Nice Pickle? I would still have finished the quest either way (I had commited plenty of willpower) but if A Nice Pickle put a few cards back in the encounter deck to draw then I would have explored Troll Cave before finishing, if not then the quest would have stopped right then and I would not get that lovely treasure. Any thoughts?
I'd say there is no break in the timing between revealing an encounter card and resolving that encounter card, so A Nice Pickle would need to fishing resolving before considering the Forced condition of the quest card. So you would get the treasures!
Cheers. When it comes down to a clash in this game I usually assume the worst so it's nice to hear a second opinion confirming the best. Those treasures are mine!
