Deck Strategy: *Note: This deck draws from Core+Khazad Dhum+FoS+WitW, which are the sets I have at the moment. It could be improved with the inclusion of cards from other sets or even a second core. Erebor battle master, Ring mail, Ever my heart rises, Bofur and Lure of Moria might eventually find its place in this deck.

It is all about dwarves. And transforming hits into resources, thanks to Glóin. The multisphere deck keeps glued thorugh him, Narvi's belt and Bifur's ability. I chose the healing herbs over self preservation because it would be cheaper and more useful on earlier turns. Besides, together with the plate, boots and the record keeper, you can end up paying just 1 lore for curing <6 hits, which is a great value early on.

I feel there are a bit too many attachements and too little dwarves. I will certainly add the battle master when I get it, and probably Bofur, which should balance things a little. I'm not sure what will be ped then, but the boots and the sword (since there would be enough will power to make them redundant) will probably see a go. Although the deck is a little over the minimum already, keep in mind that the 3 runes are "free" cards that don't actually occupy any space.

Great timing for a Gloin deck ;)
I personally would a touch more healing, but I guess you want to keep it thematic, right?
Not much of a fan of Gimli.. I think his ability becomes more and more irrelevant as there becomes much more interesting ways to boost dmg. I would hazard a guess that by the end of the game Gimli is WAY over hitting... I see this a a kind of "waste". He is high threat and has no real point apart form the increase dmg (well nothing that can not be replaced by others) .. so if that skill is OP, and in some ways wasted.. I feel that Gimli can be swaped out for a hero that has a relevant effect all game.
I have to agree. The more I play him, the more I think Gimli is an overkill, which ends up being redundant. Yet, I'm fond of him and don't seem to be able to let him go.
As sirprim points out, this deck is kind of limiting itself thematically. It doesn't work as well as it should, probably due to the lack of cheap dwarfs. I've been having a look, and although cards such as
Erebor Battle Master (TLD)
could be a nice addition, the remaining expansions don't solve this problem. If I'm not wrong, the only dwarfs costing less than 3 are
Zigil Miner (KD),
Erebor Hammersmith (Core) and
Miner of the Iron Hills (Core), and that's not enough. The worst flaw of this deck is that, in spite of being built around dwarfs, it really struggles to bring the short fellas down to the table.

I'm starting to think that the deck should be rebuilt dropping both Gimli and Glóin, for, even though I always loved the transmutation of damage into resources the good old dwarf provides, it requieres to be more focused on healing; which leaves less space for bearded allies.

I'll be keeping an eye on the upcoming Thorin Oakenshield, which along with We are not iddle and
Lure of Moria (RtR) could provide a great substitute for Glóin, leaving pleanty of space for more and more dwarfs.
