With Triskelion and Avengers Tower, you can get out a total of 5 allies at once.
Steve Rogers' ability as well as Quinjet make playing Avengers easy.
Honorary Avenger allows you to play a few allies who aren't Avengers, and it's worth playing on Avengers at it's cheap and gives them an extra HP.
Avengers Assemble, Strength in Numbers, and Lead From the Front all benefit from having lots of allies in play, and make Captain America stronger as well.
