What on earth is a Ristie?
Slang form of Aristocrat.

Thx, was about to ask the very same question.
Love what they did with the ability, though I'm not to hot on the card image for come reason. Too much bling and candy colors.

Too much bling and candy colors.

She wouldn't be a ristie without them. It's like saying "Whizzard looks like too much of a nerd".

So I take it it's her that uses "lady luck" to get 4 credit profit...

Could have been more subtle though. One armband would be enough.

Maybe, but she doesn't seem to do subtle, after all she runs with the best.

I don't think I like Andromeda as much as Santiago but it could have potential, especially if 3 or 4 of those starting 9 are easy mark/sure gamble and a magnum opus.
I could see using her with a lot of Easy Mark/Sure Gamble and other cheap stuff to try and get an early advantage. The longer the game goes, the less her ability matters.

I look at it as "if you got a free turn to start the game in which you could draw four cards, would you do it?"
She's directly comparable to Chaos Theory, drawing 9 cards means you thinned your deck to 36, while CT is a bit better at 35 cards,
but let's not forget that Andy also mulligans to 9, guaranteeing that you pick up whatever it is that you need, like a splashed rabbit's hole to thin the deck even further and allowing you to set up underworld contacts for decent economy, so it's not really 100% the same as CT.

While I guess most players will expect you to pass the first turn on building up the economy, can still use "Make a Run" events and not feel like you're wasting cards. Maker Eyes, Account Siphons and Vamps (after a few Sure Gambles) can be devastating on an unprepared opponent.

Nah, nah, the way I see it, you're doing it wrong. The strength of Andromeda is you can run 3x MO and not even need other economy, not even Sure Gamble, because her massive draw almost ensures you get the MO on turn 1. Fill up the rest of your deck with nasty criminal tricks, use MO to outpace the corp on economy, and Siphon/Vamp them into oblivion.

@Slipkpie
I don't know, without a searcher even 9 cards isn't enough to ensure a turn 1 MO. Even in CT with 3x test run I sometimes have diesel to get the Opus. I think the fact that you have those extra cards to do stuff with turn 1 makes it better for her to run an event heavy deck.

If you're running 3 MOs you have a pretty good chance of drawing one in your opening hand and with a 9 card mull your chances are even better. I've been running with her non-stop since the day she came out and I think out of 20 or so games I've only not gotten an MO in my starting hand or mull twice. But I agree she is the perfect runner for an event heavy deck. Sure gambles/easy marks and 1 MO on turn 1, or drop access to globalsec and a couple underworld contacts and you're pretty much set on econ for the game. I didn't realize this when I made my last post, but over the last few days she's become my favorite runner.
